Show organisers are replacing printed entrance banners with walk-through LED gateways. The Automechanika Dubai entrance shows how they work.
What you are looking at
The photo shows the entrance to Automechanika Dubai: a single large LED wall built around the venue's doors, with two door-sized openings cut into it so visitors walk straight through the screen. The top of the wall carries the Automechanika Dubai logo over animated blue content, and the LED runs down both sides and the centre pillar to the floor.
A red carpet leads into each opening, and the polished floor reflects the screen back towards arriving visitors.
Why gateways are a trend
An entrance is the one spot every visitor passes, and a gateway turns it into a moment instead of a queue. Unlike a printed banner, the LED can change through the day: welcome loops in the morning, sponsor messages at peak hours and wayfinding when the show closes.

The method: building around openings
A gateway like this is a ground-supported LED wall with openings framed in the structure. The openings are sized to the venue's doors and emergency-exit requirements first, then the LED layout is planned around them. Content is designed for the full shape, so the logo and animation never fall across a doorway.
Because it is a rental build, it has to go up and come down inside the venue's build and breakdown windows, so it is pre-planned and tested before load-in.
